The diverse forms of puppetry will be explored by puppeteers from Great Britain, the USA, Spain, Belgium and France as part of the Internationales Figurentheater Festival (International Puppetry Festival). Far from naïve entertainment for children, the performances are sophisticated theatrical pieces that often even bust the boundaries of the genre. Apart from the performances at various Munich venues, the Munich City Museum will exhibit the puppet installation "Men of Flesh and Cardboard" by America's leading puppeteer company, Bread & Puppet Theater.
