Apart from the notorious P1, few clubs have gained legendary status in Munich’s nightlife scene. Over the past few years, however, the Milchbar (Milkbar) has managed to rival the P1 discotheque’s air of exclusiveness and hedonism. The Milchbar opened ten years ago at Kunstpark Ost and then, when the Kunstpark party zone closed down, moved to the adjacent Optimol compound. Now the club—which, within days after it first opened its doors, gave up selling milkshakes in favor of cocktails—has relocated to the city center. Residing above the Atelier + City movie theater broad windows lure the party crowd to enjoy a panoramic view garnished with a great mix of sing along pop sounds.
