PROSECCO AND A SMILE
My new fave wine bar in Munich, hands down, is SISI & FRANZ. The owner, Juergen Lick, has set the place up to look like an old wine cellar. Riddling racks are strewn about and wine bottles have been fashioned to serve as light fixtures over the bar. It's intimate but not stuffy, and on Thursday nights they have live music. The drinks are priced right and they even have a few snack items on their menu. If you find a Sekt that you love, you can buy a bottle or case to take home.

WHAT A TREAT!
I have had the pleasure of eating in some of the best restaurants in the world and both times I was at RUBICO, it stood up to the best of them. Scallops that melt in your mouth, vegetables cooked to perfection, plate licking good sauces and yummy desserts. I can't wait to go back!

LATE NIGHT MUNCHIES
As a singer, I often work odd and late hours, so I am grateful to be able to get something hot in those wee small hours. The DÖNER STAND at Pestalozzi, Thalkirchner and Muellerstrasse is the place I go when hunger strikes, the stores are closed and I don’t have time to sit in a restaurant. Not only do they make one of the best Döner I’ve ever had, but they also have baklava and other goodies on hand. Regulars are invited in for a hot cup of tea, and I'm happy to say I'm now on that list.

SCHNITZEL ANYONE?!
My husband is German and loves his Knödel and Schweinsbraten, so we were thrilled to find a great Bavarian restaurant in our neighborhood—RUMPLER. It’s classic Bavarian, offering all of the standards, including one of the biggest and best schnitzels I have ever had, and the service is good!

NEED A LITTLE SPICE IN YOUR LIFE?
Then head on over to SAROVAR for some super Indian food! This is one of two Indian places I frequent in town and every time I bring friends, they want to return. The food is always yummy, the prices rather reasonable (although Indian is never cheap) and the service is excellent. For super spicy, try the chicken Tikka. If mild is more your style, then go for the chicken Korma.
