Carlo Mollino (1905–1973) was man of letters, a skier, a racecar driver, a photographer and he practiced aerobatics. First and foremost, however, the Italian allrounder made a name for himself as an architect and designer. Especially his furniture is of high collector's value these days: just recently one if his tables was auctioned off for 3.8 million dollars! Curators of the Haus der Kunst will aim at giving a comprehensive overview of Carlo Molino's ventures, though, by displaying not only his designs, but also a series of photographs, as well as the unique racecar the artist created for himself.

"Maniera Moderna" will be the last exhibition by Haus der Kunst director Chris Dercon before his successor Okwui Enwezor will start his ventures in October. For more information, visit hausderkunst.de.
