In 2012, Canadian pianist Glenn Gould would have celebrated his 80th birthday. Sadly, 2012 is also the 30th anniversary of his day of death. However, the sheer ingenuity of Gould would have been reason enough to dedicate a night to the pianist, who was also well-known for his eccentricity. Instead of recounting the life of Glenn Gould, though, director Gerd Pfafferroth draws near the exceptional musician by bringing him to the stage of Gasteig’s Black Box. Both pianist Danny Exner and counter tenor Christopher Robson will impersonate Gould and will perform music, for which Gould became famous. The performance on February 8 at 8 pm will be in English-language. The two following performances will be in German. Tickets cost € 25. For more information, visit cherbuliez.com and gasteig.de.
