Venice, in Solitude
February 3-March 17:


Over the past couple of years, Munich photographer, Christopher Thomas, has gained international attention with his exceptional city portraits on large-format Polaroids. After Munich and New York, the third series of pictures has led Thomas to Venice and once again he returned with intriguing new perspectives of the most well-known landmarks. Thomas's Venice exhibition will not only be on show in his hometown, but also in London, Antwerp and Helsinki.

Mélina Avouac

A recent graduate of the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, Avouac has been lucky to smoothly blend into the local art market. With her first solo show at Pfefferle's gallery in the Glockenbach district, Avouac will present delicate drawings, whose imagery was inspired by pictures taken from the internet.

Brandhorst outside 3 98x74
Sauerbruch Hutton
February 16-March 30:


Like no other architects, Matthias Sauerbruch and Louisa Hutton have integrated bright colors in their projects recently. One of their finest examples is the Brandhorst Museum adjacent to the Pinakothek der Moderne. This museum along with four other buildings that have been realized by the architecture couple in Munich will be on display.
