Every December, exhibition hall Kunstverein ends its art year with the Jahresgaben (a year's gifts) exhibition. Here, curators choose the most excellent works of Munich artists. The event is free and open to the public. The works on display can also be purchased, only by members of the art association (Kunstverein), though. Among the represented artists will be Endy Hupperich, Albert Weis and Boban Andjelkovic.

The Kunstverein is located in the Hofgarten, but is currently undergoing renovation. Thus, this year's edition of the Jahresgaben will take place at the Amerika Haus—another good reason, why this venue should not be closed but continue its promotion of American culture and its support for other local institutions.
