Musical Knights

What better way to spend an evening than by attending a concert in one of Munich’s picturesque castles? The Summer Music Festival at Nymphenburg Palace begins on June 17 and runs through July 4. There will be a number of different performances, from classical to jazz and blues to vocal ensembles. For the full program, pick up a copy of the Monatsprogramm from the Tourist Office. The concerts at Schleissheim Palace run from July 2 through August 8 and include performances by the Cuvilliés-Quartett and the Bach trumpet ensemble. For more information, visit www.bvv-ev.de/Schleissheim.htm. And later in the summer, Blutenburg Castle will be offering a season of open-air concerts. From July 8 to August 6, you can enjoy music and dance from Argentina, plus Italian, Vivaldi and Golden Oldie nights.
