Sticking Power

As a follow-up to the editorial this month, we have found a great Website with suggestions of what to do with all that left-over duct tape (in case anyone followed the US Department of Homeland Security’s advice to rush out and buy plastic sheeting and duct tape). Visit www.ducttapefashion.com and view the range of products on offer, all 100 per cent duct tape, of course. Whether you fancy a hat, belt, wallet, purse, sun visor or mobile phone cover, it is all here. You can even pick up a duct tape rose for that special someone in your life. Duct tape is praised as being durable and versatile with that extra novelty value! Members of the public have written in to share their duct tape ideas, and success stories include a woman who used the multi-purpose tape to make a girdle for her wedding day. Plus an entry from “Pegleg,” who used duct tape to fix her artificial leg when it broke at the ankle. Time to get creative!
