Barely Changed

This month all teddy-bear lovers have a chance to experience an Aladdin’s cave of furry treasures. The Spielzeug Museum in the Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus) celebrates the 100th anniversary of our cuddly friends in an exhibit documenting a century’s worth of ursine history. Featuring an international line-up, the exposition includes teddies from numerous museums in America and Europe, distinguished private collections, like that of Ivan Steiger and Joan Dunk, and such eminent auction houses as Sotheby’s and Christie’s. Photographs, written history and documentation, teddy fashion and design, and of course the fuzzy animals themselves will be on display daily from 10 am to 5:30 pm.
