All Mapped Out

All Mapped Out Since May thousands of in-line skaters have taken to the streets in Munich’s weekly Blade Night events. Now Green City, one of the sponsors of the program, has published a map to help skating enthusiasts find good terrain throughout the year. The map covers central Munich from Pasing to Ramersdorf and from the Frankfurter Ring to the Mittlerer Ring. Skater-friendly paths are marked in blue (excellent) and orange (good), whereas poorly accessible ones laid in cobblestone, full of pot holes or possessing other impediments are indicated in red. Paths specially designed for skating, such as those in the Westpark and the English Garden are marked in bold dotted lines. The reverse includes a street index and a listing of skating arenas. The map costs € 1 and is available at Green City’s office on Klenzestr. 54 and at the Tourist Information Office on Marienplatz.
