Parent 'Hood

Most children look forward to the summer break as one of the highlights of the year. Parents, on the other hand, cringe at the thought of so many weeks to fill with fun and entertainment. Now there is an antidote to this particular type of mental strain: an evening in the company of fellow sufferers, accompanied by loud music and plenty of liquid refreshment. Monday night at the local club, Schlachthof (Zenettistr. 9), is “Älternabend” (Parents’ Evening) Here, frustrated mothers and fathers can let it all hang out to a medley of music from their own youth. In fact, anyone who is over 30 and thinks that techno and boy bands are no match for classic Stones and Clapton is welcome to get down on the dance floor. The club even offers an adult-friendly dinner menu. The doors open at 9 pm and admission costs € 6.
