It’s drawing closer… Yes, as the World Cup kick-off in June approaches, Munich is gearing itself up for one of the world’s most exciting sporting events (if you’re into football, that is). As a taste of what lies ahead, the FIFA football globe will be rolling into town on March 13. This walk-in construction, which has been touring Germany in preparation for the competition, features an exhibition on the development of football, a collection of anecdotes and statistics about the game and a live stage for entertainment. The globe will be located at Marienhof, behind the City Hall, where it will stay until May 7. For more information, see
